PURPOSE AND SCOPE
The Machine Operator is primarily responsible for initiating and operating a production machine or equipment to meet quality and quantity standards for output.
Initiate, operate, and maintain assigned machine or equipment.
Provide direction, training, and team leadership to assigned production line helpers.
Follow instructions of senior room leader or supervisor.
Ensure that machine and crew perform all work as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Ensure that machinery or equipment is in good working order and that all operations are productive and meet standards for output.
Ensure that all work and products meet quality and quantity standards.
Complete quality checks and routine documentation as required.
Ensure that machine crew works in accordance with safety standards and expectations.
Comply with cGMP requirements and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP?s).
Follow all work rules and company policies.
Maintain work areas in a clean and organized state.
Foster a positive work atmosphere through professional and courteous interaction with co-workers, management, and visitors.
Provide constructive feedback or ideas to enhance health and safety or the general work environment; boost employee morale; improve operational efficiencies or outputs; improve product quality; or reduce costs, scrap, or waste.
High school degree, GED, or successful work history.
Basic math and reading skills.
Ability and willingness to work with machine and production equipment.
Ability to perform repetitive lifting of up to 50 lbs, stand for prolonged periods and perform repetitive motions, primarily utilizing upper body extremities.
Ability to perform in a team environment and maintain high rates of repetitive manual activities.
Good hand-eye coordination.
Must be able to work overtime hours as required.
