Chief Operating Officer
Our client is seeking its next Chief Operating Officer (COO). The successful candidate will commence employment in August 2020 and will work alongside the current COO during a transition period for the balance of 2020. Following that transition, the COO will report to the CFO & Director of Strategy. The COO position requires a professional with ten or more years of progressive human resources and operations management experience, preferably in a law firm or other professional services organization. We are seeking an energetic individual with a passion for exceptional team performance, proven business judgment, and an ability to identify and analyze issues and recommend and implement solutions.
The COO will have primary responsibility and authority to lead several administrative functions of the firm, including human resources, information technology, marketing and business development, facilities management and operations management. The COO position requires the ability to communicate effectively and manage a diverse team of professionals.
This position will be located Burlington, VT.? Periodic travel to other offices in Vermont and New Hampshire is required. 1. A master’s degree in business or human resources management or a combination of a bachelor’s degree and equivalent experience.
2. Ten years of progressive management experience with a law firm or other professional services organization.
3. Strong technology skills including proficiency with MS Office 2016.
4. Professional designation of SHRM-SCP or CLM professional designation desirable.
