Buyer/Planner II 
SUMMARY:
This position supports the Companies NH division. Buying focus is: Components such as Castings, Forgings, Machining, Raw Materials, Fasteners, stampings. Insure component availability to meet assembly needs
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage a total spend of $15-25M
Prepare presentations that follow a logical reasoned, data supported approach
Achieves annual inventory reduction objectives
Negotiate supply agreements to gain improvements in delivery, quality, order lead time
Purchase both raw material and component commodities
Schedule “make” components
Executes E & O dispositioning

EDUCATION:
Must have a BS Engineering, Supply Chain, or related degree with a preference for a technical degree.
MBA a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 0-2 years in a manufacturing environment. – Preference with company that has demonstrated “best practices” in supply management.
Must be able to read and understand design prints/ drawings and work with engineering on engineering changes/ deviations
APICS and/or Purchasing certifications preferred
Good interpersonal skills to work with people at all levels within and outside Watts in a professional manner.
Must understand Lean Supply chain systems
Achieves annual inventory reduction objectives
Good problem-solving skills, including ability to identify and resolve issues and challenges
Must demonstrate a strong business acumen including knowledge of manufacturing, finance, marketing, and quality to be able to understand the impact of sourcing decisions on the overall business success.
Demonstrated ability to lead by influence
Participation and leadership of cross-functional teams in North America.
Must understand blueprints and technical specifications
Strong personal computer skills required, including experience with MS Office software.
