Foundry Maintenance Mechanic
1st Shift

Summay:
Conduct, maintain, test and repair electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components. Apply knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and apply skills in restoring equipment to operation. Provide experienced mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of Manufacturing.
Duties:
Plan and perform work requiring a knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of multiple materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment.
Install, start up and shut down equipment following company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and following OSHA requirements.
Perform preventive maintenance functions.
Perform other tasks.
Qualifications:
High degree of precision working with minimum tolerances preferred.
High school diploma or its equivalent. Two-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program or the equivalent in a technical field is required.
3+ years of experience in the electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic fields are required and show high proficiency in these areas.
Millwright, heavy equipment, or aerospace experience preferred.
A knowledge of electrical/ electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes.
Will work well with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment, and especially will work and communicate with line operators to assist with repairs and troubleshooting.
Willing to work other shifts and overtime as required.
Computer experience/operation and PLC programming are preferred.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the responsibilities of this job, you are frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. You are occasionally required to stand, sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. You must occasionally lift and/or move up 35 pounds individually, and 80 lbs. with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
