Occupational Health Professional
This position is responsible for leading three main program areas including Wellness, Ergonomics, and Workers Compensation for the Lakes Region, NH operations as well as supporting the global manufacturing footprint regarding ergonomics and workplace risk reduction. The position will be responsible to partner with other functional and operational leaders to ensure that the Wellness of our employees is a top priority while also driving at the reduction of risks associated with muscular skeletal disorders in the workplace. Implementation of a transitional return to work program, careful case management of work-related injuries, and building partnerships with local occupational health clinics are all key deliverables across the US manufacturing sites.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Partner with Human Resources and implement Wellness programs that target risk factors in the community
Implement on-site clinics in the Lakes Region, NH site including season flu, blood pressure, blood sugar, and others to emphasize employee wellness
Systematically develop workstation functional job requirements
Partner with Human Resources on standardizing pre-employment physicals
Evaluate workstation ergonomics and partnering with Manufacturing Engineering and Continuous Improvement teams to develop corrective actions that eliminate or reduce ergonomic risk factors while maintaining a productive work environment.
Be a member of the first responders’ team and be willing to provide immediate emergency care for employees
Participate in accident investigations with the operating supervisors and employees
Develop and implement a Transitional Return to Work program across the US manufacturing sites; partner closely with Human Resources, EHS, and Operations on transitional return to work cases
Case manage workers compensation and employee work restrictions
Conduct site visits and develop ongoing relationships with occupational health clinics near the US manufacturing sites
Partner with EHS to analyze safety and health data including first aids, safety concerns, near misses, and accidents
Promote a zero-injury culture in daily interactions with employees and management through stretching program and serving as a member of the safety committee
Provide first aid care for employees, when necessary
Deliver targeted training across the US manufacturing sites around workers compensation, ergonomics risk analysis, OSHA recordkeeping, and wellness program.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing, Physical Therapy, or other closely related occupational health science with a minimum of 7-10 years of related experience
Travel 15-20% domestic; 5% international
Mathematical, Reasoning and/or Computer Skills
Possess one or more of the following credentials – COHN, MSN, DNP, DPT, CPE, or CEAS
Knowledge of New Hampshire workers compensation program
Knowledge of Benchmark Digital/Gensuite application
