This position is responsible for the overall success of developing and installing a new manufacturing line in a facility in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire and subsequent duplication of lines in low cost countries.
Develops and manages a detail project plan to ensure success of line startup and qualification at production volume levels across all levels of the organization.
Accountable for project timeline and cost based upon business plan.
Coordinates with other functional owners such as production, maintenance, engineering, quality and EH&S to ensure overall project success.
Proactively identifies and resolves schedule conflicts.
Works closely with suppliers to ensure project timeline in maintained.
Ensures proper layout, facility infrastructure, waste treatment, capacity is achieved.
Assume ownership and accountability for successful completion of overall project. Report results both internally and externally with presentation and formal report packages.
Skills & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required. Emphasis on Project or Program Management and/or Engineering.
7+ years’ experience in developing and leading high intensity manufacturing line start-up projects.
Knowledge of photo etching a plus.
Experience in lean principles including one-piece flow, line balancing and automation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively interact with production, maintenance, EH&S and design engineering teams in a fast-pace environment
Experience in demonstrating statistical skills in data analysis, knowledge in DOE and SPC are required
High competency in troubleshooting
Hands on experience photo chemical etching
High competency in MS Office including Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Strong interpersonal skills and cross-functional effectiveness are critical
