Quality Technician I
The Quality Control Technician I is responsible to support the manufacturing group for all their needs to ensure the achieving of all manufacturing and Quality goals. This position is responsible for analyzing and solving quality problems, preparing inspection plans and instructions, selecting sampling plan applications, performing audits, analyzing quality data, and applying fundamental continual improvement activities.
Support the Manufacturing team with the analysis of issues pertaining to Quality problems; performing failure analysis of customer complaints and returns. Drive root cause and corrective action to prevent future occurrence concerns
Participate on the Material Review Board daily activities to ensure to collect scrap data to address actions to reduce scrap costs
Provide training on Quality Principles, Quality Policy and reinforce good Manufacturing Quality practices
Communicate, prepare reporting of Supplier, In process and Customer Quality
Leader of the Layered Process Audit program
Provide support to Quality Engineer on developing and maintaining of needed Quality Acceptance Criteria Standards and facilitate training to the Manufacturing Associates
Coordinate Document Control activities to ensure proper release and training of revised documentation and procedures
Documenting and control of any deviations on the Manufacturing processes
Support Quality Engineering on the revision and preparation of internal and external Product Part Approval Process (PPAP) and First Article Inspection (FAI)
Record test data applying statistical quality control procedures
Set-up and perform destructive and non-destructive test on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, and/or material characteristics
Duties may also include responsibility for specific record keeping per manufacturing needs the, pareto chart and trend chart analysis,
Perform routine housekeeping to ensure area operates within parameters that conform to environmental and safety standards
Must wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and abide by safety rules
Must report any job-related injury and/or illness immediately to your direct supervisor
Must maintain attendance and punctuality standards as established by company
High school diploma/GED required with 3 plus years relevant experience.
Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools. Experience using QAD and MS Office.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
