Shipping/Warehouse Lead

SUMMARY

To organize and ship daily products domestically and internationally using proper packing, labeling and documentation.  Also. to provide materials (extrusion, stampings, etc.) needed to process work orders and support all departments of manufacturing. Proven ability to lead  shipping and/or warehouse areas for 2 years or more preferred.

Tight control and manage inventory.
Supervise Provide leadership to shipping/warehouse employees and help oversee daily operations.
Inspect scales and wrapping equipment for daily use and calibration.
Ensure a high degree of detail and focus on every job.
Communicate with drivers to ensure efficient delivery of products.
Manage customer service requests promptly and resolve issues quickly, internal and external.
Use of proper Oracle software processes for shipping and warehouse.
Serve as a backup for the Warehouse Lead.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure On time delivery and shipping of products leaving the company daily.
Ensure the issuing of all materials for work orders for all manufacturing shifts according to the oldest work order kit date.
Coordinate with associates to ensure shipping schedules for the day and warehouse inventories are accurate, including daily cycle counts.
Follow Production Manager’s daily work-related directions, which may include the preparation and packaging of all sales/work orders per customer specifications and shipments to leave on for on time delivery.
Perform daily job-related duties, which may include using a forklift, while adhering to company safety guidelines, as well as being able to lift 35 pounds. Ability to use shrink wrap machine.
Perform daily computer transactions using Oracle skills.
Maintain excellent attendance.  This is a critical area for the business.

Qualifications:
AS Degree in Business preferred.
Inventory Control Certificates or concentration preferred
Proven Experience in Domestic and International Shipping required.
·        Experience in manufacturing warehouse logistics, kitting, inventory control and expedites.

·        Experience in Microsoft WORD and Excel.

·        Excellent communication, organization and understanding of priorities.

·        5 S and/or Lean Manufacturing knowledge/certificates preferred.

·        Team Player and safety focus.
