Plant Manager – Lincoln, NH

Position Overview

The Plant Manager is responsible for managing/driving continuous and significant improvement impacting Safety, Quality, Delivery, Lead time, Cost, and Working Capital (inventory).  This will be achieved by developing a world class improvement culture and methodically implementing site and business level strategic objectives (a unique combination of strategic planning, strategy deployment, IQ and lean/six sigma techniques).

Duties and Responsibilities

Lead and direct overall manufacturing (SQDCM) activities of the site.
Maintains a safe working environment consistent with all local, state and OSHA requirements.
Continues to improve the LEAN culture. Ensures the production area maintains a clean, well-organized environment through “continuous improvement” and 5S. Implements and drives “continuous improvement” activities by eliminating non valued added activities in the manufacturing process (waste elimination).
Develop budgets and forecasts. Approves expenditures for supplies, materials, and human resources, ensuring that materials, labor, and equipment are used efficiently to meet efficiency and customer requirements.
Establishes work requirements and ensures production schedules are met.
Develop Staff and a culture within the business dedicated to the highest levels of quality and customer service
Resourceful, combining strong manufacturing and technical abilities with overall management acumen.
Sets high expectations (driven by metrics and countermeasures) for self and the organization
Driving significant increases in capacity (output) of the site.
Achieving breakthrough and continuous improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost, strategic sourcing, supplier development, and working capital for a global footprint.
Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and/or 5 years in Operations, Continuous Improvement, Quality, or Supply Chain/Materials management.
Demonstrated experience with lean and six sigma tools.
Resourceful, combining strong sourcing and technical abilities with overall Ability to effectively deploy resources to key priorities. Mold and develop the preferred culture.
Sets high expectations/stretch targets (driven by metrics and countermeasures) for self and the organization. Able to define what “winning” looks like. Improves performance through employee engagement.
Ability and passion to rapidly learn and utilize the business system and achieve objectives. Able to connect to the big picture.
