Production Supervisor
1st, 3rd, and 4th Shift. The 4th shift work schedule is: Friday, Saturday and Sunday (12 hour days) Hours: 6AM – 6PM – paid for 40 hours.
Position Overview:
Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in production.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Works closely with Production Control Planners to develop production schedules to improve utilization of equipment for minimum set-up and operating conditions.
Interprets company policies to workers and implements safety regulations.
Supports merit review program and employee evaluations.
Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders: assigns duties.
Collaborates with others in the organization to ensure customer schedules are met.
Inspects and measures parts and products to verify conformance to specifications.
Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
Recommends and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product. Eliminates waste and develops cost reductions detailed tooling modifications, planned maintenance, etc.
Skills and Experience
Leads 10-35 non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include: interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. BA Degree or equivalent experience.
