Provides excellent customer service while performing work as part of the Logistics team by partnering with carriers and Customer Service to ensure the customer’s needs are met by leveraging our processes and technology to drive efficiency. Daily operational functions include data entry, scheduling, tracking freight, customer problem resolution, and general exception management will make an impact on our customer relationships through your commitment and focus on operational excellence.


Essential Job Functions

Essential duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

  • Scan and ship orders in Navision following the work instructions for LTL and International orders.
  • Create and process accurate paperwork including BOL, Customs Documents, and any customer specific documentation needed.
  • Schedule and/or reschedule pick-up and/or delivery appointments for all loads.
  • Prepare routing documents as needed based on customer specific work instructions.
  • Pack orders securely, accurately, and in compliance with shipping regulations and customer specific labeling requirements and work instructions.
  • Proactively notify shipper and/or receiver of changes when necessary.
  • Validate all load data prior to shipment.
  • Sort shipments by sales orders and carriers for accurate pickups.
  • Complete ASN’s daily when necessary.
  • Report inventory inaccuracies to the inventory control manager as soon as possible.
  • Verify/pre-check that loads scheduled for pick-up the prior day have been picked up.
  • Enter load data into customer Transportation Management System (TMS) systems.
  • Provide detailed directions and instructions to properly route drivers.
  • Escalate to customer service on problem loads, and the actions that will or have been taken.
  • Understand and follow all FDA and Safety guidelines in the warehouse and report any concerns to the Logistics Manager.
  • Concisely and professionally communicate with customers, truck drivers, the team, and the organization to resolve issues, process orders, and ship out properly & timely.
  • Safely use pallets jacks and/or fork trucks
  • Work with the Logistics Manager to improve processes and systems with a focus on accuracy and compliance issues being addressed.
  • Update customer service on the status of loads.
  • Manage shipping documents by organizing and filing for storage and archiving.
  • Assist with document collection from carrier/service provider network.
  • Generate LTL order picks for the warehouse team and set the order priorities.
  • Provide instruction to order pickers and ensure orders are properly labeled in compliance with customer specifications.
  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance to ensure product release prior to shipments.
  • Train and mentor, all levels to help further our employees’ knowledge.
  • Works with Logistics Manager to address concerns and needs of our company and its employees.
  • Helps in the reduction of fines and fees.


Other Responsibilities may include the following as needed:

  • Support other areas of logistics (picking, packing or material handling) as needed and requested by Logistics Manager.
  • Assist with cycle counts as requested.
  • Participate in Lean and 5 S activities.
  • Supports the logistic department in lieu of Managers absence.
  • Other duties as required & assigned.



  • Reliability is a must.
  • High School degree or GED.
  • Proven working experience in a warehouse environment and specifically related to overseeing shipping materials.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in shipping software and transportation management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with Pallet Jack and Forklifts.
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Must be able to multitask, be well organized, and pay attention to the details.
  • Stand/walk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions, primarily utilizing upper body extremities.
  • Musst be a team player.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and maintain high rates of repetitive manual activities.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and ability to maintain high rates of repetitive manual activities.
  • Ability to perform repetitive lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to push/pull pallets and carts.
  • Must be able to work overtime hours as required to meet the needs of the customer.
