Plating Technician
5th Shift: Fri, Sat, Sun 6PM-6AM $25.55/hr. (work 36 hours and get paid for 40 hours!!!)
$1,000 Attendance/Performance Based Sign-on Bonus after 90 days of employment!
SUMMARY:
Operates assigned equipment used in executing metal finishing operations by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Loads and unloads tote pans of parts, stacks parts in baskets, racks and/or barrels, racks, un-racks, cleans, etches, de-smuts, pickles, bright-dips dyes, degreases, heat treats, plates, coats, wet processes and dries parts.
- Follows prescribed procedures for processing.
- Fills baskets, racks and/or barrels with parts to be processed and lowers materials into appropriate tank.
- Removes parts when process is completed.
- Maintains cleanliness of tanks and work areas.
- Monitors temperatures of solutions.
- Maintains daily production logs.
- Physically inspects processing to ensure quality of product.
- May be required to perform general utility work, material handling, assist with chemical handling and solution maintenance and record keeping as needed.
- May be asked to troubleshoot simple to moderate problems.
- Is responsible for quality of product produced.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must have a basic understanding of chemistry as it applies to the job, and the ability to solve problems.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
